Job Description :
Amazon India Payments team is looking for Software Development Engineers (SDEs) to design and build a new payment gateway that will support Amazon’s customers in India and potentially other emerging economies.

Responsibilities:

✅ Software Development & System Design
  • Design, develop, and implement scalable, high-performance, and secure payment solutions.
  • Work on high-traffic and low-latency systems while ensuring seamless cross-region data handling.
  • Develop and optimize web-based applications and services at a massive scale.
  • Implement server-side encryption and secure transaction handling for customer data.
✅ Collaboration & Stakeholder Interaction
  • Work closely with Amazon’s banking and NBFC partners like SBI, HDFC, CapitalFloat, and Bajaj Finance.
  • Influence third-party payment providers and contribute to Amazon’s fintech ecosystem.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including AWS, ML, and Payment Processing teams.
✅ Learning & Innovation
  • Gain hands-on experience with the latest AWS technologies, including:
  • AWS Dacia, Kinesis, Lambda, SNS, SQS, API Gateways, VPC, NLB, CloudTrail, ElasticSearch, etc.
  • Explore Machine Learning techniques for fraud detection and credit risk analysis.
  • Contribute to Amazon’s patent portfolio by developing innovative solutions for payments.
Preferred Skills & Qualifications : 
  • 1+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language (Java, Python, C++, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of computer science fundamentals (data structures, algorithms, OOP).
