Job Description :

Genpact is looking for a detail-oriented and analytical professional to join our finance team as a Management Trainee / Assistant Manager – Property Accounting. In this role, you will manage general ledger activities, property accounting, capital expenditures, tax compliance, budgeting, and financial reporting in alignment with US GAAP standards. You'll act as a liaison between property managers and stakeholders while ensuring accurate and timely month-end closures and financial insights.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage month-end and year-end closing activities for property accounts
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements including Income Statement, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow reports
  • Handle Capital Expenditure (Capex) management and ensure compliance with accounting standards
  • Perform fund transfers, bank reconciliations, and cash positioning reports
  • Monitor property tax payments, assessments, and compliance
  • Support in preparing budgets and forecasts for properties in collaboration with managers
  • Approve vendor invoices and manage accounts payable/receivable
  • Maintain accurate rent roll, tenant ledgers, and lease data
  • Liaise with property managers, board members, and stakeholders to present financial insights
  • Provide support for internal and external audits
  • Drive process improvement and SOP documentation

Skills Required :

  • B.Com / M.Com / MBA / CA / CPA or equivalent in Finance & Accounting
  • 2+ years of experience in Record to Report (R2R) or Property Accounting
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP, general ledger accounting, and property accounting principles
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel (Advanced functions)
  • Experience with accounting tools such as Yardi, JD Edwards, MRI (preferred)
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders

Shift Details :

US Shift: 5:30 PM – 2:30 AM IST

Flexibility to work during month/year-end close and reporting periods
